Lately... First Hair Cut, Yard Sale Scores, and a Mini Family Reunion

Well, the last few months have been fun. I got two jobs: One at a fitness center in the child care area, where I can bring William with me; and the other one teaching preschool at Tykes Time, where William gets some Daddy-time while I'm gone. Actually, I resigned from Tykes time and I'm giving them my last two weeks now -- they were weird with hours and salary and plus, I just didn't like leaving William for 12 hours a week :(
Anyway, Adam has been applying for jobs left and right and we're just waiting to hear back. Adam and I also do odd jobs for an elderly woman who lives down the street from us. Her name is Hazel and she is 95 years old and is the most cleanly woman I've ever met. Her home is spotless and she pays me 30.00 a month to vacuum and dust for her. She pays Adam 20.00 a week to do yard stuff. She's great :)
Then there is William who is getting more daring every day and decided walking is better than crawling now days and is using it more and more as his mode of transportation.
Some of the highlights have been:
Williams 1st hair cut from Daddy. Before:
After:

Yard-saling where we got quite a few awesome things (Lets, just say, 20-somthing bucks and all this stuff(and yes, that is a double sided, wooden art easel I got for three dollars and is normally like 60.00!)):

Including this Sit n' Spin toy that William LOVES. And I got an awesome video of him going crazy with it, but... I cant figure out how to upload videos on the new blogger interface!! So any help would be appreciated. I used to just go to the old interface because it had the icon there for me to, but I don't have the little film strip icon on this page to do it. Don't know if I'm missing something or I'm just going crazy, but I need to figure it out soon so I can get some funny videos out there :)
In the mean while I'll make a little note to myself of a list of videos to remind me to post later:
Sit n spin
Conference (William danced to the choir lol)
Adam spinning William on the sit n spin
William and Leah riding in the back seat together

Anyway, then there was a day trip up to Rexburg with Adam's cousin Casey and her daughter Leah for a mini family reunion and that was tons of fun! We go to see many of Adam's cousins from Uncle Kevin and Brother Daniel :) William just loves Daniel, so that was fun for him too :) The kids did great on both the ride up and the ride back (which was a miracle seeing as how both of us forgot to bring ANY toys to entertain the kiddos. Casey just ended up emptying out her whole purse across the back seat. It worked!)
Yay for random purse items that entertain babies! Here is a few pictures from that (the children look less than thrilled... althought that may be an over stuffed face on William because we did have lots of good snacks lol):

Lots of fun!
P.S. Casey, found your lip gloss and formula case under the passenger seat today, got to get that back to you :)

Easy Entertainment

Well, we got a magnifying glass at a yard sale for free... Hours of fun :)

And a few days later the fun continues...

Look Who's Walking!

For a while now, William has been crawling (normal) and cruising around on furniture, giving no signs of trying to walk on his own. Then yesterday Adam decided to just stand William up on his own to see what would happen. And this was it!
He loved it and laughed with every step! He's not using it as his main means of getting around, but this is a start :)
Other things that have been going on... Let's see...
We had some family visit. First Grammy and Poppy who helped with all kinds of projects around the house (video tour to come), and then Grandpa and Uncle Dan came! Then we drove Daniel up to school in Rexburg and had a blast showing him around, finding his classes, and getting situated. We miss Rexburg :(
And earlier this summer, after getting done with all the unpacking work, we decided to do something fun. Camping! William was a champ, and we even did some dirt road biking with our new bikes and bike trailer. (William wasn't such a big fan of that.) Here are the pictures:

Our beautiful campsite

My camping boys!

Our bikes!

A sunset on the Snake River

Our happy camper!

It was a fun trip and we loved the spot. We'll go again next summer for sure. This time with a fishing license :)

Some Scooting and Booty Shaking...

Yeah, we kept waiting and pushing for William to crawl and .. this is all we got. Looks like we are going to miss out on a normal crawling experience with him! Oh well, he is now cruising along furniture and loves to walk everywhere holding onto our hands. But anyway, just to document for black-mail later...

William also has become our little dancer. Every time music is playing or Adam sings, William starts shaking his little booty!! Here is the proof :)

He is a fun boy and we are really enjoying him. His birthday was the 3rd of August, but I'll wait to do his "Birthday Post" until after we take some one-year pics to go with it :)

Everything (or at least the addition part of everything)

WOW. Well we drove from Washington to Pocatello on July 16th and 17th, and we stoped and stayed the night at Aunt Kelly's (she happened to have these cute horse things for her grand children and we put William on one and he LOVED it :) )
And we got to see my cousin Sean's new baby :)

The drive went very well and William was a trooper.
Then we arrived and.. were overwhelmed by all the unpacking we had to do! But we managed to do as much as we could before all the guys came to help with the addition. And when they got here they dove right in! (My dad, grandpa (Papa), and brother Clark were the ones who came to help--Thank you!!)
Anyway, here is their progress in picture form...
The way it used to look (this was taken before the internship in Washington)
The only before I could take before they tore into the house..
Dad and Adam :)
The frame/ "bones"
Walled and tar-papered

Adam's amazing roof job ;)
Dry-walled, mudded, and textured (all very tedious)
Painting
DONE :)

(Nice wall Sconces)

Then Adam died after moving the furniture in :)

And of course life went on as usual the whole time. William ate, took naps, the usual. This was one of our favorite naping positions as of late :)

And... thats about everything. For now. We still have more of course. It's a never ending list for us!!!

Yep... These boys went crazy and killed themselves everyday. I think both Grandpa and Adam will be glad to be done with projects. Although, Grandpa did just start on his bathroom... maybe he's not done ;) And for that matter, neither are we! We'll get to Pocatelo and start right on our addition and bathroom! Ug. Too much rennovation for me. Oh, well. The after is what is worth it for me!!
Goodbye Washington, for now!!
