Easter, Anniversary, and other stuff :)

I guess first of all, we had a wonderful trip to Utah! It was Spring Break for Adam and we got to spend 5 days with at my parent's house. The first night we were there we had our big gender reveal party where my mom found out she was expecting TWO granddaughters :)

She has been wanting one for a while and now she get's two. So we were able to go all girl crazy together and do some fun shopping. I can't wait till I get my shower gift from Mom :) All those pretty little girl clothes!!! I'm super excited.
The rest of the trip was great too. We got to visit Grandma and Grandpa Brewer and go on some fun family outings. The last day we were there we went on a walk and William wanted to hold both "Daddy" and "Poppy's" hands:

We always wish we can stay longer when we visit, but it was also nice to get home. Plus Adam's parents came and stayed with us for a few nights that next week and we got a fun visit with them too! William was used to too much attention from grandparents by the time all the fun ended, and he got sick as well, so he was quite the little "terrible two" man for a while, and I thought I was going to die. Being a mom is just hard sometimes. It made me all worried about how I was going to handle having another child, but then I got a chance to talk with my sister and some of my wonderful sister's-in-law about mommy stuff and they just helped me put things into perspective about how each child and time in your/ their life is different, and you just got to do what you got to do. Heavenly Father also helped me realize that I need to have more faith when it comes to raising children. He's not going to leave me alone when I'm doing what I need to be doing! Since then William got over his cold and became my wonderful, happy, way more cooperative boy that I missed so much and gave me at least a few days of loving mommyhood again :)
ANYWAY. Then there was Easter. It wasn't a big event in our home this year. We actually almost forgot it altogether, and even though we did remember to fill eggs all the wrappers were left out and the baskets were just in random spots from the night before. LOL But we did do a hunt out in the yard. One for William, then Adam and I each did one for each other for kicks.

William loved the jelly beans and still asks to find eggs when we go outside :)
Then we had our anniversary dinner. 3 years! Thank you Cousin Kacey for watching William for us so we could enjoy it ALONE :)We went to a yummy Chinese Buffet. Here are our awkward pictures:

Then we picked up and William and Daddy hung out before bed :)

As for other stuff, William has had quite the appetite lately and CHOWED our dinner of fried rice tonight. Even after multiple helpings he wanted to eat out of the container when I tried to put left overs away in the fridge. So Daddy joined him: (like our retro chairs?)

Oh, and William did his first official Poo-poo in the potty this evening (on his very own Lightning McQueen potty seat). It was very exciting!

Our Lives

Well, I'm going to repent of blog neglect and try to post more often. (Even though our lives seem so mundane on a day to day basis!). But I know that some people would love to see our everyday boring lives :) So here we go. We've also been pretty bad at taking pictures too. Part of that has to do with sucky re-chargable batteries :/
Anyway.
This was my first pregnancy picture for this pregnancy at around 3.5 mo. (I think):

As compared to my first pregnancy:

Not too big of a difference I guess. I sure felt much huge-er though!!
These are more random pics of pregnancy and what-not:

And the weather is starting to warm-up so we've gotten to be outside more and more. This was our first park visit of the year. William slid, climbed, crawled, and swung. Adam climbed a rock wall... And I pushed and walked I guess. And we left follwing the yellow brick road out:

And William playing in the kitchen--doing some sensoy play.

Then we got to go to Rexburg a couple weekends ago to visit Daniel and Becca and Duncan. It was a way fun trip. We got to go bowling, shoping, and do lots of hanging out. Unfortunately the only pic we got was William playing with Jack (Becca and Duncan's dog).

And that is all of our pictures and stories up-to-date. I think. Besides me shuting William's thumb in the door and it being a truamatic event :( He cried, I cried, we watched Cars. But that's all there is to that.

Belated....Pumpkin Patch

So I found this in my drafts... guess I never posted it! Better late than never I guess. But the most current post is just below/ after this one so don't miss it, keep scrolling down!

Pumpkin patch visit again this year! (dont worry, we didn't loose a wedding ring again! Although we did loose a cute trackter toy this time :( We must be cursed!)

Anyway, we picked out a few pumpkins, met the sweetest black cat, William got to sit on a few things and we were outy!

I think that just about sums it up... hmm.. yeah. Here are the pictures!

Oh yeah, and we found the best pumpkin ever...

The Hollidays

Well it has been a while, hasn't it? I have no excuses, except maybe that I'm pregnant. I don't know what it is about being pregnant, but I just get so lazy, and every unnecessary thing tends to drop out of my life for a while. But being in my 2nd trimester now has given me more energy, so hopefully that means more blog posts!
The holiday festivities were fun and we enjoyed William being able to take more part in them.
Here are some pictures from Halloween:
We decorated the whole stroller as a ship and we were all pirates :) William looks like a drunken pirate in this picture...
Up-close of the stubble ;)
Sitting in his pile of candy.

Then there was Thanksgiving and we took a family picture outside my parent's house:

Next was Christmas, of course, but we left our camera at home and got NO pictures at all. Super lame-o. Many picture moments too. We saw the lights on temple square, visited grandparents, took William sledding for the first time, made snowmen things, played with cousins... Lots of fun and no pictures to remember it by. Depressing, but I guess I'll get over it.
And other than the big stuff, nothing too exciting going on. Adam starts his 2nd semester of Grad school working concurrently on his masters and doctorate degree. William has been teething for what seems like forever. And I swear he learns a new word every day. And I'm doing the same-old. Adam and I have started a new work-out plan as a new year resolution that we've been able to stick to so far...
Yeah, that's it. Hope to try to keep up on blogging!

Lately... First Hair Cut, Yard Sale Scores, and a Mini Family Reunion

Well, the last few months have been fun. I got two jobs: One at a fitness center in the child care area, where I can bring William with me; and the other one teaching preschool at Tykes Time, where William gets some Daddy-time while I'm gone. Actually, I resigned from Tykes time and I'm giving them my last two weeks now -- they were weird with hours and salary and plus, I just didn't like leaving William for 12 hours a week :(
Anyway, Adam has been applying for jobs left and right and we're just waiting to hear back. Adam and I also do odd jobs for an elderly woman who lives down the street from us. Her name is Hazel and she is 95 years old and is the most cleanly woman I've ever met. Her home is spotless and she pays me 30.00 a month to vacuum and dust for her. She pays Adam 20.00 a week to do yard stuff. She's great :)
Then there is William who is getting more daring every day and decided walking is better than crawling now days and is using it more and more as his mode of transportation.
Some of the highlights have been:
Williams 1st hair cut from Daddy. Before:
After:

Yard-saling where we got quite a few awesome things (Lets, just say, 20-somthing bucks and all this stuff(and yes, that is a double sided, wooden art easel I got for three dollars and is normally like 60.00!)):

Including this Sit n' Spin toy that William LOVES. And I got an awesome video of him going crazy with it, but... I cant figure out how to upload videos on the new blogger interface!! So any help would be appreciated. I used to just go to the old interface because it had the icon there for me to, but I don't have the little film strip icon on this page to do it. Don't know if I'm missing something or I'm just going crazy, but I need to figure it out soon so I can get some funny videos out there :)
In the mean while I'll make a little note to myself of a list of videos to remind me to post later:
Sit n spin
Conference (William danced to the choir lol)
Adam spinning William on the sit n spin
William and Leah riding in the back seat together

Anyway, then there was a day trip up to Rexburg with Adam's cousin Casey and her daughter Leah for a mini family reunion and that was tons of fun! We go to see many of Adam's cousins from Uncle Kevin and Brother Daniel :) William just loves Daniel, so that was fun for him too :) The kids did great on both the ride up and the ride back (which was a miracle seeing as how both of us forgot to bring ANY toys to entertain the kiddos. Casey just ended up emptying out her whole purse across the back seat. It worked!)
Yay for random purse items that entertain babies! Here is a few pictures from that (the children look less than thrilled... althought that may be an over stuffed face on William because we did have lots of good snacks lol):

Lots of fun!
P.S. Casey, found your lip gloss and formula case under the passenger seat today, got to get that back to you :)

Easy Entertainment

Well, we got a magnifying glass at a yard sale for free... Hours of fun :)

And a few days later the fun continues...

Look Who's Walking!

For a while now, William has been crawling (normal) and cruising around on furniture, giving no signs of trying to walk on his own. Then yesterday Adam decided to just stand William up on his own to see what would happen. And this was it!
He loved it and laughed with every step! He's not using it as his main means of getting around, but this is a start :)
Other things that have been going on... Let's see...
We had some family visit. First Grammy and Poppy who helped with all kinds of projects around the house (video tour to come), and then Grandpa and Uncle Dan came! Then we drove Daniel up to school in Rexburg and had a blast showing him around, finding his classes, and getting situated. We miss Rexburg :(
And earlier this summer, after getting done with all the unpacking work, we decided to do something fun. Camping! William was a champ, and we even did some dirt road biking with our new bikes and bike trailer. (William wasn't such a big fan of that.) Here are the pictures:

Our beautiful campsite

My camping boys!

Our bikes!

A sunset on the Snake River

Our happy camper!

It was a fun trip and we loved the spot. We'll go again next summer for sure. This time with a fishing license :)
